DMTS has added an additional text messaging feature which allows you to send text messages to home phones all over Canada and the US. You simply enter a landline number in the “TO” field of the text message, type their message and send it off. The message is then delivered to the home phone as a voice message. The home phone recipient can even respond back using their own voice. You will also receive a status text message telling you if the message was delivered to a live person or a voicemail system and a reply text message if the home phone recipient replies. This feature is free of charge for all DMTS customers.

You’ll love the versatility of the ez ONE. This mobile phone was designed with the Senior consumer in mind – this phone is easy to see, easy to use, and its features are very much in demand. From the moment you take your new phone out of the box you will see how easy it is to set up; you can even begin using it in just a matter of minutes. Whether you purchase service through us, or use your existing SIM card, using this phone for the first time is truly – a snap!

The ez ONE’s most alluring feature is an emergency S.O.S. button – perfect for Seniors and everyone alike. In a matter of a few easy menu steps, up to four names and numbers may be entered into the phone and will be called when the S.O.S. button is activated. We hope no one ever has to use it – but if they do, help can be summoned at the press of a button! Friends and family can breathe a sign of relief knowing that their loved ones have this technology in their corner.

Princess street (CO) site downtown has been fitted with new antennas and is now working as

a sectored site. This has lead to a noticeable improvement in service in the Dryden area,

there still exists network issues which are being worked on. We have however distributed the

customer load from the Main Dryden and downtown site enough to alleviate the 3:30 to 4 PM

crash.

Work on other area sites was delayed slightly by the decision to place a temporary cell site at

the airport for the Air Show weekend. We are trying to bring in an additional outside tower

crew for next week to speed up our progress. Work will continue on our new Dinorwic site

next week and it is expected to be completed the week by June 4 with priority being given to

the wireless internet, cellular to be completed the week of June 7

Sectorizing the Highway 502 (landfill) and Barclay sites to improve range and capacity will

begin the week of May 31

June 7

Work on our Eagle Lake FN tower has commenced, the power line is in, the building is

nearing completion and as of today the first 60 feet of the tower is erected. All construction

should be completed June 4

equipment will be placed after that and our equipment on the TBAYtel tower will be relocated

Sioux Narrows, Rainy River, Morson sites are all on the DMTS microwave network now and

Updating the information from April 22. As part of this upgrade it was determined that a replacement of antennas at all the Dryden sites was also going to be required. Equipment has been ordered however delay in shipping has caused us to amend the original time line.

In the Dryden Area

A new site is built in the North Dryden area but will not be operational until the week of May 24th. Another new site in south Dryden is also being built and will be operational the week of May 24th. In conjunction it has been determined that there is a need to upgrade the site downtown with new antennas which will be in place by the week of May 24th. All work has to be completed before any of the new sites can be activated. This will lead to noticeable improvement in service in the Dryden area.

Work continues on our new Dinorwic site and it is expected to be completed the week by May 31st. Work on our Eagle Lake FN tower has commenced and the physical tower construction should be completed the week of May 31st and cellular equipment will be placed after that.

Improvements in the Region

Network optimization is scheduled to be complete in the Fort Frances area the week of June 7th, the Red Lake area the week of May 31st and the Sioux Lookout area the week of June 21st.

Completion of equipment installation at the Sioux Narrows tower and the Atikokan (town) tower is scheduled for the end of May to early June.

Completed cell sites located on the highway corridors between municipalities are functioning as designed. Work on the remaining 4 Highway 11 sites between Atikokan and Shabaqua is not expected to be completed until sometime in July and we are re-assessing our options for additional cell sites to cover between Dinorwic and Ignace.

In the interim The Company has disabled site handoff in congested areas as this process needs to be refined during the optimization process. Threats to this schedule are primary related to weather as inclement weather delays tower related work.

Further updates will be provided as information becomes available.

DMTS is experiencing network operational issues in Dryden. Our large customer base in the area and the larger than anticipated number of visiting cellular phones from our roaming partners attempting to access the network has caused some congestion. In order to address this situation DMTS is taking the following immediate action.
