OS X 10.3 Mail Setup

First, click on the Mail icon located on the Macintosh OS X 10.3 dock.

The Welcome to Mail screen will display. The Full Name that you had entered when you configured OS X 10.3 should display in the Full Name field.

You will need to enter the following information:

Enter your DMTS Internet email address in the Email Address field.
Enter mail.drytel.net in the Incoming Mail Server field.
The Account Type field should display POP.
Enter your DMTS Internet userid (i.e. jsmith) in the User Name field.
Enter your DMTS Internet password in the Password field.
Enter mail.drytel.net in the Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) field.

Click OK to continue.
After you have clicked OK, you will see “Verifying connection to POP server “mail.drytel.net” flash momentarily on the screen.

After the Mail settings have been confirmed and you have connected to the Internet, you will be asked “Would you like to import mailboxes from another email client?” You can click No at this point. If you have other mailboxes you can still import them at another time.

The Mail program will now retrieve any email messages that are in your DMTS email account. Once the messages are retrieved, they will be displayed in your Inbox.
