Setting Up E-mail in Windows Mail

Step1. Open Windows Mail via the Start menu.

Step2. This is how Windows Mail should look when opened for the first time. If you are prompted to create a new e-mail account, choose yes and skip to Step 6

Step 3. Click Tools, then Accounts.

Step 4. Click on the Add button

Step 5. Choose E-mail Account, then click Next

Step 6. Enter your name as you would like it to appear on outgoing e-mail. Click Next

Step 7. Enter your e-mail address, then click Next

Step 8. Ensure that POP3 is selected in this box.
Enter mail.drytel.net in the Incoming mail (POP3 or IMAP) server field.
Enter mail.drytel.net in the Outgoing e-mail server (SMTP) name.
Ensure that Outgoing server requires authentication is enabled.
Click Next.

Step 10. If you are not connected at this time, or do not want to download your e-mail messages, do not enable this option.
Click Finish.
You will then be on the internet accounts menu again.
Click on properties

Step 11. Make sure include this account when receiving mail or synchronizing is enabled.
Finally click on the Advanced tab

Step 12. Make sure you change the Outgoing Mail (SMTP) port number from 25 to 587.
Now your account is configured and ready to go.
